Married secondly in 1380 CATHERINE Visconti (*1362 Milan,+1404 Monza).

His issue who reigned:

-GIOVANNI MARIA (*1388,+1408; son of Catherine),

-FILIPPO MARIA (*1392,+1447; son of Catherine).

Died in 1402 in Melegnano.

Buried with his first consort Princess Isabella in the Carthusian Monastery in Pavia.

His second consort Duchess Catherine was buried in Monza Cathedral (no tomb).

 

 

1402-1412: GIOVANNI MARIA

Born in 1388.

Father: Gian Galeazzo of Milan. Mother: Duchess Catherine Visconti.

Married in 1408 ANTONIA Malatesta of Rimini.

Died in 1412 in San Gottardo (murdered).

Married firstly in 1412 Countess BEATRICE Lascaris di Tenda (*1372 Tenda,+1418 Binasco).

Married secondly in 1427 Princess MARIA of Savoy (*1411 Chambéry,+1469 Vigone).

Died in 1447 in Milan.

Buried in Milan Cathedral (no tomb).

Married secondly in 1441 Princess BIANCA MARIA Visconti of Milan (*1425 Settimo Pavese,+1468 Melegnano).

-Ippolita Maria (*1446,+1488; Queen of Naples; daughter of Bianca Maria),

Married secondly in 1468 Princess BONA of Savoy (*1449 Chambéry,+1503 Fossano).

His issue who reigned:

-GIAN GALEAZZO MARIA (*1469,+1494; son of Bona),

-Bianca Maria (*1472,+1510; Roman Empress; daughter of Bona).

Died in 1476 in Milan.

Buried in Milan Cathedral (no tomb).

His second consort Duchess Bona of Savoy was probably buried in the Church of S. Giuliano near Savigliano (no tomb).

Born in 1469 at Abbiategrasso.

Father: Duke Galeazzo Maria of Milan. Mother: Duchess Bona of Savoy.

Married in 1489 Princess ISABELLA of Aragon (*1470 Naples,+1524 Bari).

His issue who reigned: Bona (*1495,+1558; Queen of Poland).

Died in 1494 in Pavia. Buried in Milan Cathedral (no tomb).

His consort Duchess Isabella of Aragon was buried in the Church of S. Domenico Maggiore in Naples.

 

 

1494-1500: LUDOVICO MARIA IL MORO

Born in 1452 at Vigevano.

Father: Duke Francis I of Milan. Mother: Duchess Bianca Maria Visconti.

Married in 1491 Princess BEATRICE d'Este of Ferrara (*1475 Ferrara,+1495 Milan).

His issue who reigned:

-MAXIMILIAN (*1493,+1530?),

-FRANCIS II (*1495,+1535).

Deposed and imprisoned by the French.

Died in 1508 at Loches near Tours.

Buried with his consort Duchess Beatrice in the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan (no tomb).
